If skipper cancels trip due to bad weather, refund or postponement offered less administration fee of $75.
If weather is too hard to guess, the skipper can talk to hirer and if both agree it will not be safe/ too miserable, then we can decide to postpone or cancel, refund less admin fee
If client cancels, no refund given if slot cannot be filled or if filled, less an admin fee $75 minimum.
Sensible shoes required. Non slip, Non marking Soft soled shoes please !!! No high heels or biker boots with buckles or similar sharp, pointy bits that might scratch the boat and leave black rubber marks. This is a white fibreglass vessel and not a rough and ready workboat l!!
Non-marking clothes required, so no coming straight from a paintball session.
No crepe paper, marker pens etc. We prefer string rather than sellotape for “dressing up” the boat.
Intoxication NOT permitted and will result in early end to trip with no refund. No bottles of straight spirits for Stag parties ….the boys are too likely to be silly and become dangerous and intoxicated.
Stag parties may require a bond of $500 paid on arrival in cash. A cleaning fee of $75 up front with ëntertainment will be charged.
Bond returned at trip’s end if no damage.
Vaping is ok onboard
NON SMOKING VESSEL..
Not following instructions on toilet use resulting in a blockage will be $100 fee.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: Is 20 the maximum number of guests we can have on board?
A: Yes, that is our survey limit and also the number catered for with safety gear, including lifejackets.
Q: what is the minimum number for a private charter?
A: anything!! you are paying for a private charter and that is a fixed price just like an Uber/Taxi !!
Q: Can we land on any of the islands?
A: You can land on Mākaro/Ward Island but need to swim, kayak or paddle-board ashore. Matiu/Somes Island is a nature reserve and landings are permitted only at the main wharf on the north-east point of the Island mainly done by the East West Ferry service.
Q: Can we use the dinghy?
A: The dinghy is set up as a rescue lifeboat and cannot be used for recreation.
